Joseph is a licensed independent clinical social worker with a master's degree in social work from Boston College who has worked as a psychotherapist in forensic, collegiate and community settings. Joseph believes deeply that his clients are resilient and have the inherent strength to improve the way they live their lives while taking an affirming and compassionate approach to their struggles.
Joseph specializes in working with clients who struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma, suicidality and substance use. He is an affirming clinician for LGTBQ+ clients and strives to provide safe and culturally competent care for all. Joseph helps his clients find better connection to their values and doing what matters to them. He takes an integrated approach using cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, ACT and mindfulness practices.
