Joelle earned her master’s degree in clinical social work from Boston College, and has experience working with adolescents, adults and families. Joelle values collaboration in therapy and strives to create a safe and non-judgmental space to support personal growth.
Joelle uses a person-centered, strengths-based approach to individualize therapy to the needs of the client. She utilizes various techniques including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and psychoeducation. Joelle is interested in working with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, eating disorders, trauma, anger management, suicidal ideation, self-harm behaviors, life changes, relationship challenges and maternal mental health.
Joelle has completed advanced training in trauma-informed treatment, working with victims of commercial sexual exploitation and perinatal mental health.
Joelle can provide therapy in English and in Turkish.
