Cam Bauchner
Therapy Intern
he/him/his
Cam is currently working towards a master’s degree in social work from Boston College with a specialization in mental health. He has several years of experience providing mental health care for adults in a variety of settings including inpatient programs and community mental health centers.
Because each individual comes to therapy with their own unique psychology and circumstances, Cam employs a flexible and adaptive approach that carefully considers the specific needs and desires of each client. As a result, he utilizes several different modalities and frameworks, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and psychodynamic approaches, in collaboration with clients. He believes in cultivating a therapeutic space that fosters warmth, compassion and awareness in order to help individuals feel more empowered in their day-to-day lives.
While Cam is interested in working with all individuals, he is especially passionate about helping individuals struggling with OCD, anxiety and depression. Additionally, he has a background working with clients experiencing psychosis, mood disorders, and their family members, and is committed to supporting these populations across treatment settings.
We are limited in what insurance plans we can accept for working with an intern. We can accept Aetna, Cigna & United insurances. If you have other insurance that we are unable to process we can offer a generous sliding scale for paying out-of-pocket.
